Theater was one of the things Isabella always loved and admired. She preferred theater acting by far than television or movie acting. Nowadays you didn't need talent or hard work to become a successful actor in a TV show or in some pointless movie. You just had to be there, film a few scenes, and you're a star. It was all such rubbish and more shallowness in one place than one can imagine, so Isabella avoided such things. Movies weren't what they once were, and Isabella wouldn't want to star in almost any of the movies of today, if she would ever be asked to. Perhaps she was too old-fashioned or too strict, but she simply didn't like the movie business nowadays. She adored movies, mainly older movies, but there surely were some rather good movies that popped out today as well, but were too rare. So not only would those movies require more talented and, if nothing else, more well known actors, but Isabella also simply didn't have the confidence and the luck needed to get in one of those movies. Or any movie at all.
Though this wasn't the reason why she was now heading toward the Wickham theatre. Isabella's main talent wasn't acting, well, not that she knew, but it was singing. Ever since she was a little girl, when her parents took her to operas, or theatre musicals, she knew she wanted to do something like that one day. And another reason for her sudden will for acting was that she simply needed to be more outgoing. She was far too mysterious and shy for her own good sometimes, and something like this might do her well. So she thought she might give it a try and audition for the theatre cast. This idea came a bit sudden, so she didn't really know when the audition was, but she wa bound to ran up tp at least one person at the theatre to get more information.
Encouraged by that little bit of optimism, and optimism tended to be a thing she rarely used lately, she sighed once deeply and pushed the theaters door open, once she finally reached it. The walk from her house to this place wasn't really that long, but to Isabella it seemed like ages. She felt a bit of relief once she was inside. Though the relief soon wore off. The theatre indeed seemed empty, and all of her optimism vanished before she even used the chance to check. Though she certainly didn't come here for nothing, at least her pride if not her bravery wouldn't be able to let her leave.
And there simply was something about any theatre that always amazed and draw her to it. She loved how the stage looked, the formal high ceiling, decorated with a beyond expensive chandelier that seemed centuries old by its style. The long, wide stage, framed with dark red and golden curtains. The remainings of the previous set this placed upon it. Isabella didn't even know that she was walking more and more closer to it, wearing a dazed smile, without even noticing she actually moved from the doors as she gazed.
