as you can see there's no rain in our forecast so get out there and enjoy this beautiful day at the park or enjoy some ice cream. august looked over at oreo laying next to him in the large bed which belonged to his father as he had the biggest tv. did you hear that oreo? there's no rain in our forecast! august exclaimed with a grin as he climbed down from the large bed with a bit of trouble and raced to his own light blue bedroom right across the hall. august ran into the large closet and looked around at all the clothes before he tugged on a black t-shirt to get it off the hanger and it ended up falling on his head. once he had sucessfully changed his shirt he headed over towards the dresser and pulled out a pair of camo shorts and as soon as he had them on he raced back to his dad's bedroom, grabbed oreo, and raced down the stairs as fast as his legs would take him with the fat bunny in his arms. when he reached the dinning room he saw his dad sit down at the table with a cup of coffee. his father groaned lightly when he saw that his youngest was dressed and seemed to ready to go before he even had his breakfast. daddy, can i go to the park with oreo? august asked as he gave his father his best puppy dog eyes and even pouted at him. luckily, they lived directly across from said park so his dad could watch him from right where he was sitting. fine, just don't lose oreo. remember, we're not replacing him if he runs away. so watch him really close auggy.
august gave a wide grin before he raced out the door and practically ran down the steps, carrying his precious oreo like baby. he stopped at the sidewalk and waited for the light to turn red down at the corner and quickly crossed over to the park. as it was such a nice day with no rain in the forecast there were a few people but not very many in this specific area - there never was actually. this area of the park was mostly empty because the trouble making teens knew exactly who lived right across the street and would catch them doing anything they weren't supposed to be doing. it was one of the perks for being a finnley, people tended to leave you alone and you had a reputation before you were even born. august set oreo down on the soft grass and simply watched his bunny sit there. in all the times that he had been let outside by the eager five-year-old he had never ran away. whenever august would go somewhere oreo would follow closely but he never ran away no matter how many chances he was given. what do you wanna do first oreo? i wanna go down the slide. august said as he crouched down to talk to his rabbit before he got up and ran for the slide with oreo hopping behind him. he climbed up the large steps and pulled oreo up with him before he headed for the slide just in time to see a girl about his age slide down and was caught by her mother. normally, his daddy was always here with him but sometimes he let august go by himself but he always sat out on the front porch with his coffee. wasting no time, august grabbed oreo and held onto him before he let himself slide down and giggled when he stopped at the bottom. that was fun, huh oreo? wanna do it again? i do too. august quickly set oreo down and raced back to the steps to repeat the process over and over again with a big smile.
